Everybody was hot on that show, in the most exquisitely odd ways, except for Joe Lo Truglio.
Okay, even him kinda.
And except for Michael Ian Black who is conventionally handsome, and seems to kind of hate himself for it. I love it when he falls down. there i go again...
Better than Kids In the Hall?* Angrier, maybe. Is it that old lack-of-socialized-medicine chestnut? At least The State had a girl, and many of the people on that show are still busy being funny. The best thing any of the Kids In The Hall ever went on to do was The Saddest Music In The World... and, well, that does sort of outshine Reno 911 somewhat, in my eyes. Tough choice, though; tougher than it should be...surrealist musical written by Kazuo Ishiguro, or dude dressed as a milkshake evading arrest? Thank god I don't have to choose.
See, this is why we all need to write all our stupid novels and make all our stupid movies, cause who the fuck knows what some shmoe will be in the mood for some night...? Think of the shmoes!
*I seem to recall Kids In The Hall and The State being thought of as one of those classic Elvis vs. The Beatles dichotomies...? But, again, thank god we have them both. Thank god for every good fuckin joke that makes it onto television.
